Provo Cottage

Check out these cute skirt options. The first one is pleated one direction 3.5" tall. The second skirt has a triple pleat on each corner and a single pleat in the center front and back. And again... I love the tan linen. These were for a client who is furnishing a cute cottage up Provo Canyon. These are just a few of her pieces. She replaced all her cushions with the down envelope cushions, and wanted the slipcovers to be a little more loose to give that soft inviting feeling.

Romantic Ranch

After Chair--Loved this one

So I just finished this job for a park city client... she called her style "Romantic Ranch" I loved it. I showed up and she had baskets of linens and fabric that she had collected. So we played around and put it all together. The green chair-- with the gathered skirt was made out of drapery panels and the white gathered skirt on the front that had crochet trim on it was from an old sheet. I love when you can use what you have and it turns out fabulous-- it makes it worth storing and collecting fabrics for years when you can turn it into something great. We also replaced all the cushions with down envelope cushions, which adds the the soft comfy look.

KSL.com wingbacks

My neighbor got these two wingback chairs off KSL.com for $20 each. We went for a neutral color with a pop of color on the piping and band of the skirt. I love these colors together. We also added a 3/4 length skirt. Check out the BEFORE and AFTER.

Dated Wingback-- before and after

So I love white slipcovers-- it just changes the whole look of this dated wingback chair. I never get tired of using white. I love the clean look of this chair with the straight skirt.

Old plaid freebie before and after

before
after
This client's neighbor was about to haul off this plaid chair to DI-- the fabric was old and wearing out-- but with the new slipcover it's perfect. She loved the idea of being able to wash the slipcover, which is why she thought this was a better alternative to reupholstry.

Before and two afters

Before
After #1

After #2-- This client decided to make two slipcovers for this one chair, so she can switch them out while she is washing the other one. Or just to change when she gets bored. Most of my own furniture has two outfits as well.

Before and After of Barrel Chair

Before and after pictures of my free set of Barrel chairs. I removed the original tailored skirt that went to the floor to let the legs and casters show. Then I added a shorter tailored skirt to my slipcover.

Paisley wingback before and after

To update this wingback, I switched out the cushion to a thicker down cushion and added a 3/4 length skirt. Don't get rid of your old chairs-- update them.
